Curious about this vintage jug’s shape? Those bands of circles—fun fact—are inspired by classic French wood barrels and copper hoop jugs. And they’re not the only French thing about it: This one was handcrafted from grey clay in the Loire Valley and then salt-glazed to give it that deep sheen.
