Dansk Bistro Cafe Flatware Sets

We registered for Bistro Cafe flatware at another retailer for our 2006 wedding and have been very happy with it. But we have replaced a few pieces here and there over the years—alas, no silverware will survive the garbage disposal. Our original set has no location mark, newer pieces (like the set from Food52) are marked as Vietnam. Differences between the eras are pretty imperceptible. My husband originally picked out Bistro Cafe because it has some heft, the soup spoons are a perfect size, and the handles fit his giant manhands. But our kids have grown up using it with no issues. Our family uses this flatware daily and we are pleased with the design and longevity.

This flatware is a lovely, timeless, part of my tableware. It is clean, sleek and contemporary. It fits nicely in the hand.

I love the look and feel of this set and so far it is really to wash and care for without spotting. The small fork is about the size of what I am used to for big forks. Same with the spoons. That said, my husband loves them (kinda surprising that he noticed which says something good), and I just use the small forks and spoons for for everyday since I like a smaller bite.

I first received the Dasnk bistro set as a wedding gift 18 years ago! Pieces have disappeared over the years and I no longer had enough spoons or dinner forks for 12. These match my existing set and have a lovely smooth finish and substantial feel although perhaps slightly thinner than the original but I would recommend them if you’re matching existing pieces or starting fresh. The look really is timeless and a great compliment to everyday dinnerware or the ‘good’ china!
