My contractor prefers this to HIS ladder
This was feeling like an indulgent aesthete purchase - I looked online for a used one before buying and. . . there’s a reason they are hard to find. It looks great, is lightweight, holds steady, is easy to move and stands on its own - full upright, no leaning against a wall required. How can a ladder be beautiful?
As a self employed artist my work at home little cottage needed to house my work tastefully as well as pull double duty as a guest house.
Tight accommodations called for high storage shelves and no where to “hide” necessities to make life possible. When I found this Lucano ladder on Food 52 my hopes were its functionality would be equally met with good looks and ease of use. I was more than pleased when it arrived. Worth it
I came across a Hasegawa step stool at an estate sale a couple of years ago and have since regretted not scooping it up (for only $60 too, ughh!). However, when I moved into a new house with very high cabinets, I took it as sign to invest in a Hasegawa ladder. I am in love. I use it everyday and love the look of it in my kitchen. I purchased the yellow color. Definitely a steep price tag, but if you are willing to spend extra on this piece, you won't regret it.
