A Nice Addition to the Kitchen, with Some Quirks
This induction burner heats up really quickly and I have been pretty pleased with it so far. The temperature control seems much more precise than a traditional slow cooker or instant pot, which I like but am not entirely used to yet. Thus far I have used the browning feature (which was fantastic), and slow cook on low (less impressed by this setting after first use). I needed a significant amount of additional time on slow cook than what the recipe called for, but would like to try a few more recipes using that feature before really complaining. This burner does make a fair bit of noise, as the fan kicks off and on every 30 seconds-1 minute to stabilize the temperature I assume. The touch screen buttons are also not super sensitive for the settings, but the plus/minus time buttons are far more sensitive for some reason. Its not a deal breaker by any means, but I wish the sensitivity of the different buttons was more consistent. Adjusting the time takes a bit of back and forth to land on what you want. Overall I am pleased with it but I think there’s some areas for improvement.

Let the cooking begin
I’ve thought of so many recipes to try I can’t wait to get started. So close to the holiday season I know it will be a huge help with making all the special recipes for family and friends.

LOVE IT!
I love love love my STAUB induction multi cooker. I had previously purchased the 5. 5 qt cocotte from Food52. Initially, the STAUB induction multi cooker seemed like a luxury… it is now an incredible necessity! I absolutely loved that I could perfectly braise & brown my roast and then slow cook it in the same pot. Those awesome nuggets made a decadent gravy. It should be noted… That nowhere underneath the cooker does it ever get warm. Absolute bonus for the granite countertop! I’m still getting used to managing the digital display ~ but I already have several recipes on deck to cook in this awesome multi cooker.

On the fence I want to love it.
I have ordered the ring for the smaller pot size. So far not impressed at all. It’s slow. way too long to cook basic items. Like beans. ???
